Northern Map Turtle Cleanup

The High 5 Initiative will be celebrating one of Port Deposit and Susquehanna River's favorite residents, the Northern Map Turtle, with a cleanup. Local residents and organizations have played a major role in protecting this state-endangered species and we wish to help continue this effort by clearing the riparian area of litter and debris where these turtles will nest in mid to late May. We will be meeting at Conowingo Park to sign in, pass out supplies and assign areas. Bog Turtle Brewery will be supplying refillable growlers for the first 24 volunteers over the age of 21 who sign in! Light snacks and water will be provided.
