Cecil Cares is an annual countywide service event coordinated by the Cecil County Department of Community Services-Community Partnerships Division and the Cecil Cares Planning Team.  Cecil Cares offers citizens the opportunity to connect and volunteer with local organizations (nonprofits, government agencies, and faith and service-based organizations) on a variety of one-day service projects throughout the County.

Save the Date! Cecil Cares 2026 is scheduled for Friday, October 2nd, and Saturday, October 3rd. For more information, please email cecilcares@cecilcountymd.gov or call 410.996.8416.

The inaugural event was held in September 2016 as a part of a grant initiative through the Maryland Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism. Since 2017, Cecil Cares has been generously supported by Upper Shore Regional Council. Cecil Cares 2025 – the 10th annual event! – was also supported by local business sponsors including Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union, Chesapeake Utilities, New York Life, Herr’s, Key Realty, and Wesley’s Restaurant.
