Come join us for a hike at Elk Neck State Park and then a private sampling with cheese and crackers at Turkey Point Vineyards. Elk Neck State Park has multiple beach areas being on a peninsula. Beautiful sunrises can be seen on the Elk River side and sunsets can be seen on the North East River side so this seemed like the perfect location for our World Beach Day Cleanup!
We will be meeting at and cleaning the North East Beach Area of Elk Neck State Park. The address provided is to the main office at Elk Neck State Park and the beach area is about 1/3 mile past on the right. Let the attendant at the gate know you are there for the cleanup to gain free access. These passes are good for the entire day at any Elk Neck State Park locations. We will be meeting at the first large parking lot on the left when approaching the beach area to sign in and get supplies. There is a bathhouse with showers at this location if you wish to utilize them after. Following the hike and trash pickup, volunteers are invited to Turkey Point Vineyards at 2963 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD 21901 for a free private sampling. Choose between a flight of 3 regular wines or 2 dessert ones. Wine, cheese and crackers donated by the Turkey Point Vineyards. You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch as well. If you would like to volunteer or contribute, please e-mail Briana@TheHigh5Initiative.com.
