The Department of Community Services and the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) are seeking volunteers for the 2026 Medicare D Open Enrollment season (October 15th through December 7th) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 AM – 2 PM. Only one volunteer is needed per day. Volunteers schedule appointments, make reminder calls, monitor phone messages, and assist with filing. Training and support are provided.
Volunteer Requirements:
· Good oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; ability to follow instructions.
· Healthcare background helpful but not required.
· Attend mandatory orientation and training prior to the Open Enrollment period.
· Completed Volunteer Application.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
· Answer Open Enrollment appointment phone line. Monitor messages on the Open Enrollment line.
· Field or return calls to speak with beneficiaries.
· Complete the Open Enrollment Intake form for beneficiaries requesting an appointment.
· Schedule appointments using the master calendar.
· File completed intake forms (procedure will be reviewed during orientation).
· Make reminder calls for the following days appointments.
