The Elkton Colored School Museum & Cultural Center, Inc. seeks to preserve the memories, stories and legacies of African American Students who attended the school during segregation and to provide educational and informational activities to increase public awareness of contributions to American culture made by persons of African descent.
The Elkton Colored School Museum & Cultural Center, Inc will be a catalytic center focused on:
Preserving and interpreting Black heritage
Stimulating affordable housing
Spurring minority businesses
Providing financial literacy and offering space for community involvement and engagement.
