The Cecil County Branch NAACP will coordinate a donation drive to benefit Elkton Community Kitchen's annual Luncheon & Holiday Celebration (held on December 23, 2022). The Cecil County Branch NAACP volunteer group will collect small personal care and small gift items such as, but not limited to, hats, socks, gloves, hand and feet warmers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, face cloths, hand sanitizer, shavers, pocket size facial tissues, hand wipes, hotel or travel size toiletries e.g., shampoo and conditioner, small gift items, individually wrapped snacks, travel mugs, hand wipes, hair combs, brushes, deodorant, bath soap, chap stick, rain ponchos, mini flashlights, cosmetic bags, gift bags, tissue paper, etc.
Residents may drop off donations during Cecil Cares on Oct. 1st, between 9:00-11:00 c/o the Elkton Community Kitchen, which is located at the Elkton Presbyterian Church.
The Cecil County NAACP volunteer group will collect and sort the items and assist Elkton Community Kitchen's Project as needed during Cecil Cares 2022. The items will be stored in a 55 gallon drum at Elkton Community Kitchen until a later date at which time the volunteer group will assemble gift bags and deliver the completed gift bags to Elkton Community Kitchen on or before their annual holiday luncheon.
