Food Pantry Volunteer

The Food Pantry serves over 150 families per year, providing an assortment of non-perishable food goods & daily care products.   Volunteers recieve donations;  to sort donated products; stock shelves and pre-pack pantry boxes of non-perishable items. Volunteers take pre-packed boxes to guests vehicles; and on occasion for those who might be interested-some of our volunteers deliver thru our "knock/drop" service for clients who cannot come to our pantry  AND reside in our designated service area. The food pantry is located adjacent to St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall (CCEA Complex) 227 Basil Ave. Chesapeake City, MD 21915. The center operates from 9:00-11:00a (Monday thru Weds.). Mondays are set-aside to receive donations; sort stock, etc.; Tuesdays clients are received curb-side at the complex or "knock/drop" by pre-scheduled appointments; Weds. is "walk-in" service. Other duties may be asked such as light upkeep and tidying.
