2025: Volunteering in the Museum
Note: We will provide training, and you will be paired with an experienced volunteer.
Volunteers do not have to be experts on the Museum artifacts, but should have an interest and appreciation for the rich history of the Upper Chesapeake Bay.

We will continue to be open from 12pm - 4pm every Saturday and most Sundays through mid-October.

You can sign up for as many or as few days as you are able.

Occasionally, we are open longer hours or on different days due to events in the North East Community Park
Admission
We do not charge an admission fee. Similar museums charge $2.00 - $5.00 per person.
You could say, “Admission to the museum is free, but we do appreciate any donations.”
Also helpful to know:
- We are staffed only by volunteers.
- We receive no state or federal funding. (Unless we apply for a specific grant or program.)
- We operate solely on donations, gift shop sales, & fundraisers.
- Updates & special events are posted to our Facebook page and our website.
