The Elkton Community Kitchen is in need of lunch providers to PROVIDE, prepare, serve and clean up during our Friday lunches held at the Elkton Presbyterian Church. Typically our lunch providers are large, extended families, church groups, work place groups, youth groups and other service groups. It takes multiple people within the group to plan and prepare the lunch, which typically serves approximately 70-80 guests each Friday.
Lunch ideas include soups, sandwiches, hot dogs, chili, pasta casseroles, salads, fruits and desserts. The ECK supplies all the serving and cleaning supplies as well as drinks. Your group provides the lunch and volunteers.
It usually takes at least 8 volunteers (including one organizer/primary contact with us), to make it all happen on lunch day. We ask that volunteers arrive around 9:30am depending on what they are serving and stay until we are all cleaned up, approximately 1:30pm We serve lunch from 12-1pm
Please respond to our need and our scheduler, Julie Moore will contact you and give you a more detailed description of the duties. Often our Lunch Providers serve at least 2 times a year, sometimes quarterly. But we have many that serve once a year which is very welcomed as well!
