The 15th Annual Wag & Walkathon is PAWS for People’s signature event. People of all ages are invited to get pledges from their family, friends, and neighbors and come together to complete a cumulative marathon. Some create teams and others participate as individuals. If you have always wanted to run a marathon but 26.2 miles in a few hours is not your style, this is the event for you! There has never been a easier way to do a marathon. Simply log 26.2 miles between September 21 – October 21. The best thing about this event is that you can do it anytime and at your own pace. Simply Register, at the link below, start walking and then send in your miles.
Join us for the in-person Step Off and Cross the Finish Line Celebrations on Thursday, Sept. 21 and Saturday October 21st respectively.
Thursday, Sept. 21 starting at 6 PM Step Off Events. The Step Off events are being held in 2 different locations:
Wilmington Riverfront - Docklands Restaurant, 110 West Street, Wilmington DE, 19801. The Wilmington Step Off will be broadcast on Facebook Live starting at 6 PM.
Lewes - The Wheelhouse, 7 Angler's Road, Lewes DE, 19958.
We will Step-Off promptly at 6 pm then gather for Yappy Hour fun. Participants should plan to arrive at the meeting spot by 5:45 pm.
At the end of our month long marathon, join us for the Cross the Finish Line Event at the PAWS Furry Festival at Glasgow Park. This event is open to everyone; bring friends and family. Well behaved, licensed dogs are welcome to attend! All non-registered folks can get an activity wristband by making a donation of any amount to PAWS for People.
