The volunteers of Turkey Point Light Station work to maintain and open the Light Station so that it may be enjoyed by all! We want to preserve the Lighthouse and hope to some day even build a reproduction of the Light Keeper's home that was once there. Volunteering at the lighthouse is a pleasure! The view of the Chesapeake Bay is spectacular. A real bonus is meeting lots of wonderful visitors to the lighthouse. And, you don't have to walk to the lighthouse as a volunteer, you get to drive up there.
What We Do
Turkey Point Light Station is manned and cared for by volunteers. We need more people who care about the lighthouse and its longevity to get involved. Please consider donating some of your time to this worthy project. Most volunteers work one day a month during our open season. That day is from 10:00 to 4:00. Our season for 2015 is Saturdays and Sundays, May through October.
