Fair Hill Nature Center

The Fair Hill Environmental Foundation, Inc. is a private nonprofit natural history and environmental learning center serving students and adults from the Tri-State area of Northeastern Maryland, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Delaware. Our aim is to promote responsible stewardship through an appreciation and understanding of our environment.

Our work focuses on providing high quality environmental education to kids, primarily in Cecil County public schools.  We see every elementary school student for an outdoor field trip to the Nature Center where the science classroom is brought to life.  We also offer ecological education and outreach programs for professionals, students, and undeserved members of the community. We provide meaningful, hands-on interaction with the land, that not only feeds our bodies, but also nourishes our health, our creativity and our spirits.

Volunteers are important members of the Nature Center community and play an integral role in the daily operation of FHNC. Each year, our dedicated volunteers give countless of hours of their time to teach visitors about nature, assist with events and office duties.  High School students welcome!
