Exceptional Care for Children

We are more than a nursing facility; we are a home. Exceptional Care for Children is a non-profit residential haven in Newark, Delaware, dedicated to medically fragile and technology-dependent children. Since 2006, we have bridged the gap between hospital and home, providing long-term and palliative care in an environment filled with love, laughter, and support. We believe every child deserves a childhood, regardless of their medical challenges.

While our clinical staff provides expert medical care for technology-dependent children, our community mission is to let kids be kids. We improve the lives of our residents by offering a "normal" childhood experience through play, education, and enrichment. We are a haven for healing fragile bodies and a refuge for nurturing vulnerable spirits. Volunteers help us bring joy to this mission by assisting with play therapy, events, landscaping, and companionship.
