Who We Are

Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, Inc., is a 501c(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide professional, compassionate rehabilitation to native injured and orphaned wild birds and contaminated wildlife, and to promote their stewardship through education and humane research. This mission is achieved through the work of our Wild Bird Clinic and our Oiled Wildlife Response Team. Together, they care for over 3,500 native wild birds annually and work to educate members of the community, including industry and government agency personnel, on how to avoid or mitigate human-related causes of injury to native wildlife.

What We Do

Tri-State is a federally licensed, nonprofit organization with over 45 years of experience in oiled wildlife response and wild bird rehabilitation.  The Wild Bird Clinic is open 365 days a year and treats 3,500 native injured and orphaned wild birds annually. Tri-State’s Oiled Wildlife Response Team conducts oil spill response training workshops, develops wildlife contingency plans, and is on call 24 hours a day to provide care for contaminated wildlife.
