Volunteer: Volunteer Drivers Needed - Give Someone a Lift!Do you enjoy driving? Like to help people? Have a flexible schedule? Well, have we got an opportunity for you! Cecil Transit Volunteer Transportation Program needs you! Volunteer drivers pick up clients at their homes and provide transportation to medical related appointments or other vital services in locations such as Cecil County, Harford County, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Chestertown. Depending on the appointment, the volunteer driver will provide roundtrip service and may need to wait for the client in order to provide the return trip. Requests may include lifesaving chemotherapy or radiation, visits to specialists, or a ride to visit a hospitalized family member. Precautions are taken to ensure the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, and customers. Volunteer driver requirements: A completed Cecil County Department of Community Services Volunteer application. A valid drivers license for a minimum of five years, good record, and proof of automobile insurance. Agree to undergo a criminal history and driving record check.
