Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Cecil

Volunteering at the library is a great way to engage with and support your local library. Whether preparing materials for an upcoming program, setting up for a special event, or working with a young reader, the library offers numerous opportunities for adults and teens to get involved, to have fun, and to give back to your community.

Volunteering at the library starts with your application and an interview – all designed to help match you with the right volunteer opportunity.

Volunteer schedules are based on volunteer availability and current branch needs and all library volunteers must pass a background check.

Please note: All volunteers age 55+ are asked to also enroll with our partners at Cecil County’s Department of Community Services’ AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteer Program.
